The Association of Fulbright Scholars of Northern Greece honored Demetra Sfendoni-Mentzou, Professor Emerita of Philosophy of Science, President of the Interdisciplinary Center for Aristotelian Studies at AUTh, Member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and founder and former President of the Association, “For her invaluable contribution, vision and dedication to the establishment, development, and work of the Fulbright Scholars of Northern Greece.”
The event took place on January 26, 2026, during the annual Vasilopita cutting ceremony of the Association of Fulbright Scholars of Northern Greece, hosted at the residence of the US Consul in Thessaloniki, Mr. Jerry Ismail.
The honorary plaque was presented to the honoree, on behalf of the Board, by the President of the Association of Fulbright Scholars of Northern Greece, Eleftheria Gonida, Professor of Educational Psychology and Human Development at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
