On September 22, 2025, the International One-day Conference “ARISTOTLE TODAY: Moral and Political Philosophy, Education, Science, Artificial Intelligence” was held with great success at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. The event was organized by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Aristotle Studies (DIKAM), AUTh, as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), aiming to highlight the relevance of Aristotle’s work today and its timeless value for Western thought and culture.
The Conference is the 4th of the Lecture Series, on “ARISTOTLE TODAY,” which has been organized, in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, since 2018. Responsible for the organization and coordination, was the President of the Interdisciplinary Center for Aristotelian Studies at AUTh, Demetra Sfendoni-Mentzou, Professor Emerita of Philosophy of Science and Member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW).
The event was welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Nikolaos Papaioannou, the President of the Academy of Athens, Michalis Tiverios, and the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Outreach, Lifelong Learning and Student Affairs of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Iakovos Michaelidis, representing the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Kyriakos Anastasiades.
