On February 8, 2025, the Aristotle University Alumni Association, following a unanimous decision of its Board of Directors, honored Demetra Sfendoni-Mentzou, “For her valuable contribution to the study and promotion of Aristotle’s Philosophy.” The honoree is Professor Emerita of Philosophy of Science, President of the Interdisciplinary Center for Aristotelian Studies, AUTh, Member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and Member of the AUTh Alumni Association.
The honorary event took place in the context of the festive atmosphere of the Vasilopita cutting 2025 of the Association. It was honored with their presence of the Rector of the Arisstotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Charalambos Feidas, the former Rector of AUTh and current Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Nikos Papaioannou, by former Ministers and Members of Parliament, by the representative of the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia and by the Mayor of Kalamaria.
