The Interdisciplinary Centre for Aristotle Studies (DI.K.A.M.), of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, has completed ten years of activity. It was founded in July 2011, by a unanimous decision of the Senate, for the study and promotion on a global scale of the work of the Macedonian Philosopher Aristotle.
Its innovative theme, which is reflected in its title, makes it unique worldwide, since it has brought to the forefront the interdisciplinary approach of Aristotle’s work.
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Aristotle Studies, A.U.Th., has managed during its ten years of activity, to become a pole of attraction and a point of reference for Aristotelians worldwide. Its 10 years activity is reflected in the book, which is attached in electronic form here.
We firmly believe, that it is of great importance to promote on a global scale Aristotle’s emblematic work, which had a unique impact in the history of human thought for more than two millennia and continues to be present in our intellectual lives.
We are, now, pleased to announce that we will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of DI.K.A.M. on February 21, 2022, with an International Virtual One Day Conference, with the theme “ARISTOTLE AND THE SCIENCES,” and with the participation of renowned Aristotle scholars from the fields of Philosophy and of the Sciences.
