On Friday January 29th, 2021, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Aristotle Studies, AUTh, successfully celebrated the virtual “Pitta Cutting” event with the Members of the Board of Directors, the Members and Honorary Members of the Scientific Committee, and the Scientific Collaborators. The event was honoured by the presence of the Vice Rector for Research and Education, AUTH, Assoc. Professor Efstratios Stylianidis. The attendees, who joined the event from Thessaloniki, as well as from several parts of Greece and abroad, expressed their appreciation and joy for DIKAM’s initiative to continue the tradition of the pitta cutting celebration, even under the duress caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The “lucky coin,” which is a symbol of a prosperous year, was found by Lambros Couloubaritsis, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy, Université libre de Bruxelles, Member of the Royal Academy of Belgium and Correspondent Member of the Academy of Athens. The event concluded with the exchange of wishes for a flourishing New Year with health, joy, strength and optimism.
