Ennio De Bellis, Assistant Professor of History of Philosophy of the University of Salento (Italy) and Director of the Centro di ricerche sulla tradizione aristotelica nel XV e XVI secolo (University of Salento), visited, from May 8 to 11, 2017, the “Interdisciplinary Centre for Aristotle Studies,” A.U.Th., in the context of the Erasmus+ Teaching Staff Mobility Programme (2016-2017). During his visit at the Aristotle University, Professor De Bellis lectured for 8 hours in total. He participated in the whole programme and gave a lecture at the International Symposium “Aristotle’s Dynamic Model of Nature. An Interdisciplinary Approach,” which was organized by DI.K.A.M. on May 9, 2017, on the occasion of the visit to DI.K.A.M. of a group of students of Philosophy (University of Amsterdam). On May 11, Professor De Bellis gave one more lecture in the context of the Department of Philosophy post-graduate course “Aristotle’s Physics. Aristotle’s Dynamic Model of Nature,” taught by Demetra Sfendoni-Mentzou, Professor Emerita of Philosophy of Science (A.U.Th.) and President of DI.K.A.M. The main topic of both lectures was Aristotelianism in Modern Science, and, more specifically, in Galileo’s thought.
